About Jerry Stapel

With over 25 years of experience in business, finance, and commercial real estate, I bring a comprehensive approach to Tenant and Buyer representation for industrial and office properties as well as business brokerage.

Originally from Colombia, I earned a degree in Computer and Systems Engineering in 1992 and moved to the United States that same year. I began my career in the technology industry, working for a Fortune 100 company (Ingram Micro) until 2001. Seeking to leverage my financial acumen, I transitioned into financial planning, obtaining general securities licenses and serving clients as an independent Financial Planner until 2010.

My passion for business strategy and entrepreneurship led me into Business Planning, Business Consulting, and Business Brokerage—helping business owners structure their ventures for success. This naturally evolved into my career in Commercial Real Estate, where I have been a licensed agent with Avanti Way Commercial RE since 2011.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife of over 30 years and our two amazing sons, Nicolas and Santiago. I’ve been a triathlete since 2010, having completed over sixty triathlons of different distances, including two full Ironman distances (2017 and 2022) and six Ironman 70.3 distances. I also enjoy sailing and golf.
